A little Rezko in Obama's approach to foreign policy?

A Richard Fernandez piece at Pajamas Media reports on a correlation between Tony Rezko's business interests in Iraq and Barack Obama's attitude toward the U.S. providing security in Iraq.

Barack Obama’s position on Iraq has shifted significantly over the last six years. What is interesting is how his position on Iraq matches up with developments in Chicago. Specifically, there appears to be a direct correlation between the rising and falling prospects of his longtime friend and fundraiser Tony Rezko’s attempts to secure multi-million-dollar contracts to build and operate a power plant in Kurdish Iraq and the senator’s Iraq flip-flops.

Hot Air's Ed Morrissey points out another Obama foreign policy gaffe (in turn courtesy of Glenn Kessler at The Washington Post):

Barack Obama had to backtrack on foreign policy yet again today, this time on Jerusalem. He tried to outdo John McCain at AIPAC yesterday by insisting that Jerusalem remain the undivided capital of Israel. The Palestinians erupted in anger at that statement, and by the end of the day they had Obama backpedaling:

Facing criticism from Palestinians, Sen. Barack Obama acknowledged today that the status of Jerusalem will need to be negotiated in future peace talks, amending a statement earlier in the week that Jerusalem “must remain undivided.”

That's an impressive demonstration of foreign policy neophyte status, Mr. Democratic Presidential Nominee.

Sen. Obama's recent struggles have perhaps been influenced by stress owing to the sentencing of his close friend Tony Rezko.

Barack Obama (D-Ill.)'s income tax records, Thomas Lifson wrote March 27, 2008, in the American Thinker (h/t Jay Rubin), "we are finally able to get some necessary perspective on the big favor Tony Rezko did for the Obamas in buying what has been termed in the press [as] 'the adjacent, undeveloped lot'. It turns out this is a seriously misleading description."

The "undeveloped lot" was apparently the side yard for the home purchased by the Obamas with the help of the Rezkos. At some point after the purchase the Obamas apparently erected a fence separating the two properties.
