Explaining the change

John Hinderaker at Power Line noted Barack Obama's changed approach to greeting King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.

Hinderaker offered that Obama learned from his earlier mistake, when he appeared to bow before the Saudi king.

Poppycock, I say. The explanation is obvious. Given that Obama bent at the waist during that earlier meeting to grasp the shorter King Abdullah's hand with two hands during that first meeting, the solution is simple: King Abdullah has grown since then.

Or Obama's arms are now longer than they were. Or something.
