Donald Douglas of American Power posted some pictures from a recent anti-socialism protest out west.
This photograph caught my eye both because the sentiment expressed on the sign resonates with me, and because the language sounded a tad too modern for Thomas Jefferson.
After a bit of Googlification, it seems likely that the quotation comes from President Gerald R. Ford, though Jefferson did make a comment in a similar vein:
"The natural progress of things is for liberty to yeild (sic), and government to gain ground."
