Alan Colmes still battling Darth Vader

Alan Colmes blogged a story peddled by ThinkProgress to the effect that Karl Rove has flip-flopped on whether Supreme Court justices ought to be opposed on philosophical grounds apart from competency.

There's just one problem with the story. The supposed contradiction occurs as Karl Rove speaks as a political analyst and predicts that a liberal judge such as Sonia Sotomayor would face GOP opposition.

You can lead a liberal to information, it is said, but you can't make him think. If I predict that Democrats will jam cap & trade into the budget reconciliation process, that does not necessarily mean that I think it is the right thing to do.
