Why are the Clintons missing?

Hot Air has a box with news stories where the Hot Air folks apparently provide the headline for the news link.

Case in point, a story that went by "Who's missing and why?" leading to a Newsweek story (in particular the accompanying photo) about political wives who stand by their man.

Pretty clearly Malkin and company have in mind Bill and Hillary Clinton.

I can imagine the reasoning used by the journalists.

1) The Clinton case was over 10 years ago
2) If we put the Clintons in the photo it might look like we're biased in favor of Obama.
3) (For those journalists who favor the Clintons) We don't want to hurt our candidate's chances.

The second two would have journalists, who do prize their objectivity even if it's a bit of a sham, at odds with themselves. In other words, it would serve as a bit of an ethical problem. Their concern with the second two causes the first reason to swell into an overriding reason to skip putting in a photo of the Clintons. Plus neither the Obama supporters nor the Clinton supporters in the press want to hear Sen. Clinton prolong her screeching about biased coverage.
