Whoa. Surprising headline--scary for some.

Stars and Stripes almost engaged in a late April Fools joke. The second graph revealed that testing for MRAP II vehicles is underway. So that means that MRAP I purchases are nearing an end in the near future and not MRAP purchases overall. July's expected order of 1,600 MRAPs may be the last orders under MRAP I. BAE (offering Stewart & Stevenson's/Armor Holdings' Caiman) and Ceradyne will then duke it out for MRAP II.

Stars and Stripes also lapsed a bit into esoterica*:
