Changes at "Terrorism News"

The proprietors of Terrorism News have changed the comments policy, ostensibly in my honor.
After receiving numerous complaints about the debate that took place between me and 'Bryan' last night I have decided to take note of those complaints and make some changes to the site rules.

[...]

My personal view is that many people simply wish to disrupt the flow of the debate and get us all arguing about the details of each and every word in whatever article they happen to find themselves reading. Unfortunately at 4 am in the morning I can be prone to taking up such bait and start to debate with those who really care more for creating a bit of a scene.
(Terrorism News "Posting policy change")

I would suggest to _H_ that he look at the character of his own replies in the discussion thread with respect to an apparent intent to dominate the discussion and direct attention away from the content of the article, except that all of the commentary in that thread and the article have been removed from Terrorism News (whether by intent or via some glitch in the system).
No matter--I'm sure that the gang over there will provide many more examples where they grant themselves exceptions to the rules. For my part, I'll stick to making one reply only to the articles that draw my attention. Let them figure out a new rule to justify moderating my comments.

Update: Here's the new rule:
8) All points of view are welcome on Terrorism News, with the following exception: Terrorism News will limit the commentor as "chatterer," loosely defined as one who both holds opposing views from those expressed by Terrorism News and Posts numerous times a day with the intent of dominating, re-directing, or hijacking the thread; or repeatedly making the same point with the effect of irritating other commenter's [sic]. If you are defined as a "chatterer" then your comments are subject to deletion
(TN comment rules)
I have to applaud the rule in one sense--they're not making themselves an exception to the rule in the technical sense because the rule has been designed to make an exception for one who "Posts numerous times a day with the intent of dominating, re-directing, or hijacking the thread" so long as their views accord with those of expressed by Terrorism News.

It will be interesting to see if the article or any of the commentary returns to their site at some point.
