"A force from Diala police killed, on Friday afternoon, Thaer Salim Dawoud, the Finance Minister of the so-called Islamic State in Iraq, during a military operation in al-Hashemiyat village, which is a stronghold for foreign Muslim extremists coming from Afghanistan and some Arab countries," the source, who spoke on anonymity condition, told the independent news agency Voices of Iraq (VOI).
