BAE holding plum with Armor Holdings Inc.

BAE's acquisition of Armor Holdings Inc. seems to have turned out even better than the British-controlled company had bargained. News came out today that the U.S. armed services are tabbing AHI--thus BAE--for an exclusive order of 10,000 vehicles.
An American company bought by BAE Systems earlier this year is in exclusive talks with the US military to supply 10,000 trucks, it has emerged.

Armor Holdings, which was acquired by BAE for four billion US dollars (£1.97bn), has been named as "sole source" for the order, said to be worth 3.5 billion US dollars (£1.72bn).

The story goes on to say that the order is for the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles classification rather than MRAP I or MRAP II.
